Best Foods and Vitamins for Reducing Cellulite

Yes, there is! Like for every other problem, the cellulite core problem is the food and vitamin intake. What you eat is what you get! You are only wasting your time and money on everything else, still you won’t get results if you don’t watch for the food you eat.

This is the first and most important thing you need to take care of. Don’t expect this to be quick fix, but given the time you have until summer season starts, you will be able to significantly reduce the cellulite and improve your skin condition. Here you’ll find lists of foods and essential vitamins that you need for fighting cellulite.

Food

List of foods you SHOULDN’T EAT

In order to reduce cellulite, you need to reduce or completely avoid the intake of some foods. Here’s what you shouldn’t eat: saturated fats, processed foods, sugary foods, high carbohydrate foods, white flour foods, junk food, bread, pasta, animal fats, alcohol, smoothies and other high calorie drinks, pre-made foods, basically you should avoid everything that is high calorie and contains any of these things.

List of foods you SHOULD EAT

The cellulite is actually stored fat in the cells that are deep underneath your skin. This happens for several reasons. First, because there is too much fat, toxins or accumulated water stored in the cells. And second because the connective tissue is too weak to hold the fat cells, so they start to bulge outwards. That’s why you first need to significantly reduce your calorie intake in order for your body to start taking energy from your stored fat.

Then you need some antioxidants and good oils to improve the connective tissue and the skin. Here are the best foods for this purpose: fruits, especially berries (high in antioxidants and vitamins), oily fish, avocados, nuts (rich in good Omega-3 fatty acids), dark green vegetables (rich in fiber and vitamins), ginger (improves blood circulation in order to reduce cellulite), bananas and foods rich in potassium (these foods decrease the water retention), whole grains (rich in fiber and they are good for detoxifying your body), lean protein from lean meats (this will help you build muscles more quickly) and of course, as much water as you can possibly drink.

Vitamins

Taking vitamins is essential for your organism to function properly. It doesn’t matter if you take these vitamins from food or as a supplement in the form of pills. The important thing is that you take them. There are some vitamins that can really help in many ways to lose cellulite and improve the elasticity and the overall condition of your skin. Some of the best vitamins you need for fighting cellulite are:

– Vitamin C: This vitamin is essential for everything that happens in your body. In this case, it is important for producing collagen. Collagen is important for the structure of your skin and cells. Vitamin C also has  antioxidant power that is also important.

– Vitamin A: This is an excellent collagen producer, important for the connective tissue and cells to stay in a good shape.

– B Vitamins: These vitamins are amazingly good for you. When it comes to cellulite, B2 vitamin will help oxygen to enter the cells, and B6 vitamin will balance the use of fats and proteins. Some of these B vitamins can be found in eggs, milk, peas, vegetables, peas, etc. You can also use them in the form of supplement.

  • Fantastic post! Thank you for the list of Vitamins that I should be taking to reduce my risk of developing cellulite. Quick question: Do you recommend a certain brand of vitamins? I currently take Nature’s Sunshine. Also, can I take your vitamin recommendations in the form of a multi-vitamin or should I take individual pills for each. I understand that you probably aren’t a dr.; I’m just wondering what others do. Thanks again for the insight. 🙂
